Cancer Workforce Availability Survey

The following survey is intended to collect information on the availability of specific workforce personnel types on cancer diagnosis and treatment in different settings.  Responses will be used to inform the development of a simulation model of global cancer workforce and outcomes as part of the Lancet Oncology Moonshot 2.0 Commission on cancer workforce.

Ideally, responses to this survey would be informed by empirical data on workforce numbers, for example from clinician registries, professional societies, medical training institutes, etc.

Section I asks for basic respondent information.

Section II provides a brief description of each personnel type under consideration.

Section III asks respondents to provide estimates of workforce availability – the current number of each personnel type, as well as estimates of the number of newly trained personnel (entering the workforce) and the number of retiring/migrating personnel (exiting the workforce) each year.

The Institutional Review Board (IRB) of the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health determined that
this project is not human subjects research as defined by DHHS regulations or FDA regulations (IRB24-0364).
